Hi guys, our c3 has developed an issue...the battery in the fob was going so we had to use the key to unlock the doors until we got a new battery...however, between going into the shop to get new battery and getting to the car to unlock via key the key will only go in the lock a fraction on both doors! We have changed the battery and car now opens via fob...but still can't get key in door. Help! 🙂

Hello

If the key works in the ignition, then that rules out the key as the problem.

You probably do have two damaged locks on the doors. They never get any maintenance and are only there for occasional use.

You would expect to be fitting two, or one, new locks. But you can always try some graphite lock release agent in them before stripping out the parts.
