A problem has developed with my Citroen C3 2009 1.6 HDI, the key locks only the driver door all others remain unlocked!
Any ideas what it could be? Perhaps a known problem amongst C3's?

Would that be the remote or the key in lock?

sorry I did not make that clear.
using the remote all the doors lock normally as one would expect but
when I use the key only the driver door locks, all other doors remain unlocked.

Yours is working correctly.
The remote locks and unlocks all the doors and the boot. This is the usual way to lock/unlock the C3.
The drivers door lock is a back up plan to the remote system in case the BSI has gone into deep sleep or the keys get out of sync. Only the drivers door locks/unlocks.
It's well worth checking the drivers manual lock actually does unlock the drivers door for the one time when you need to unlock manually.
Locking manually is a different topic
Well. That's how the previous models all worked.

Arfur, many thanks for that. Its just in the owner manual it says two key turns activate the central locking but maybe as it covers a range of models it refers to a better spec model than the C3 vtr.Arfur Dent wrote:Yours is working correctly.

I have the reverse problem in that when I use the central locking remote the drivers door stays open and I have to use the key manually. Did you resolve your issue?
