Just got in the car, turn ignition key, temporarily lit up and then went totally dead! No power anywhere. Cant even lock the car.
Help please - where do I start looking? Fuses? which one and where is the fuse located?
Thanks

Use the hidden manual lockers on 4 doors to manually lock - but not unlock and the 5th door (boot) can't be manually locked.

You say to lock but not unlock - so can i unlock within car? I managed to lock drivers door with key.
Do you have any idea why car is totally dead? ( I mean totally dead. I used it this morning OK. Could it be fuse or is it more likely ECU/BSI unit? would that give same symptons?

Why go for some computer when the obvious is the first thing to try?Arfur Dent wrote:Battery. If its flat the electrics won't work
Well, how would you access that little bit of plastic with the door shut? I would be careful not to lock yourself in. The boot won't lock so you could always get in, but out may be a problem.bobbybiscuit wrote:You say to lock but not unlock - so can i unlock within car?

Thank you for reply. Not done anything to battery since I bought the car a month ago. So did not think of that. Will check later when I get home from work.
Re the locks. I had already gathered that when the locked the doors individually I could not open them individually from outside but I thought possibly that when pulling door latch on the inside of for it may have unlocked the door. Nerveless thank you for showing me what to do to lock it.

If your doors are deadlocked from the last time it was locked with the remotes (double pressing the lock button) the inside handles don't work. That's part of the cars security so someone can't break a window and then get the door open.
It's a great feature until something goes wrong and you need to get in your own car!
