Great advice, go for the easy stuff first ;)

This is the link to the fuse box locations topic with pictures showing the different fuse boxes on the C3.

I know this is a massively old thread but I have this same issue but only when / if I have to break hard, 1st time it happened was after I had to chuck out the anchors when some fool shot out of a side street. My battery was iffy so have changed it but have not been in a situation where I see if this is still an issue.

I know my clutch is on it's way out so the speed sensor aspect may be an idea for me to consider. Also as it happens normally on hard breaking maybe I need to have the abs looked at to?

Any other ideas would be great.

Cheers

Don't wait for disaster, find a deserted, wide road or track, check no one is behind and give it some welly and chuck out the anchors.

If no one is around and there is nothing to hit you will be safe enough to see if the new battery has cured the problem.

You don't have to brake very hard for ABS to activate on snow and ice so you may get a chance to diagnose if the ABS is a problem if you can find some snow :D

I will do just after some other possible ideas if it proves not to have cured the problem.
