I have a strange situation regarding just abs light 2004 1.4 HDI. Wires to wheels look good. The fault clears after the 10 mph drive away. When light appears I have been spraying a little contact cleaner to the multi plug behind battery with the red side pull out. Did pull off to inspect contacts all look good. After spraying fault clears. At the same time period after, not road or pot holes or corners influencing light to come back on. I think I have a faulty resistance situation not related to sensors as all four give clear code when driving off. Please can you advise my next step. Is it to clean the plug connectors. Are the rears under back seat. I do not know where the ones at the front will be. Thank you

You should read the codes in the ABS computer to see what is putting the light on. That is what the light is telling you to do.c3po03 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 11:49 am I have a strange situation regarding just abs light 2004 1.4 HDI. Wires to wheels look good. Reading the ABS system on the C3 is done by lexia tool (here). This can also give you live data from the wheel sensors to spot anomalies.
If you want to find out about the lexia system and its requirements, have a look here.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

Thanks Arfur lexia in post will read codes. It seems strange that the system clears itself, three good codes back, then throws out error code. It could be dirt on sensor. Was running good for a few months. Will run from lexia codes to point specific if sensor. I will also make note and clear all error codes. I read somewhere that it could improve car running when all errors are cleared out.
