From the Citroen C3 BSI software update guide topic
gjb02storm wrote: Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:48 pm My BSI update went much as described above. As expected I had to re bind my key, etc.
However, the faults that appeared after have rendered my instŕument panel / dash a brick. Permanent fault No communication with instrument panel!! Airbag, stereo and multifunction faults wont clear. I have no fuel, speedo, coolant or lights, etc showing on my dash. Although I can actuate them through the BSI actuator function!?
The dash is also permanently on. Displaying several fault lights and flashing a low fuel light.
Clearly a software mismatch but there is no downloadable instrument panel software.

Ideas, please?

I did the same thing.

And now I have the same problem:

- Dashboard is blank.. No fuel, speed, coolant, lights etc..
- Central Locking button does not work, but remote key works.

There is fault on Lexia
BSI Fault: Permanent Fault, Communication fault with the control panel ECU

Hi simuzer

The topic you quoted from was The Citroen C3 BSI software update guide.

and the solution to a lack of configuration after clearing all the data and installing a new BSI firmware is in that topic:

Go into the new BSI settings and change the setting for the display etc connected. The new default value is incorrect and you just need to change it to one of the others through trial and error or from your recorded settings you took before updating.
and is in the screenhshots on that page

You need to set the configuration back to what it was before the update. You took notes/screen shots?

No? then you need to flick through the options one at a time until you find a working one.

Look in Diagnosis/CITROEN_C3/BSI/Configuration

for a start.

Hello simuzer

I think you would be looking for this one that is highlighted in yellow

It is also called 'combine' which is the french for 'combined' which probably means 'multi-display' which would describe the 'DASHBOARD INSTRUMENT PANEL' also known as 'INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ASSY' quite well. But I could be completely wrong on that

Hello :)

Was there any particular reason for a BSI update, like an new or updated bit of equipment you added, or was it just for fun?
