Hi,

I hope that you might be able to help.

I have a 2007 1.4 petrol C3 which has a problem with the Horn and Airbag. First, the horn does not work using the button on the steering wheel. However I have tested the actual horn and it works fine. Second, the dash has a warning message which says Airbag/Seatbelt Fault, plus the airbag light is on.

I believe that the issue may be surrounding the ring behind the steering wheel that transfers the electrical signal from the steering column to the steering wheel. I wonder if anyone else has come across this issue before?

Cheers, Simon

Hello Simon

Its highly likely that the 2 faults are connected as the COM2000 unit (the switches under the steering wheel) is well known for giving faults. The COM2000 doesn't have the old style Air Bag ring, but a reel of flexible cable wound up inside. You can pick up COMM2000 for Citroen on eBay, some information about what is inside the COM2000 is here.

Citroen Lexia will be able to read the error code that is causing the air bag warning. Citroen garages have access to lexia for reading the fault codes. They also crop up on eBay. Find out about using lexia tool in this topic.

But it would be worth checking the fuse no F14 which is a 10A rating, first. Fuse box information is here.
