My partner was camping in her C3 and hit a bump and this came off.

Hi kitescreech, it looks like part of the engine under-tray.

Its important because Citroen fitted it and because its not aesthetic, it must be functional.

I would suggest you look under the engine area to see if the under engine tray is present or partly present.

Have a look at these ebay listings to find a replacement if yours is missing.

Personally I would look at what is under the engine with the tray off and see what is now exposed to the elements and anything likely to be thrown up from underneath. Exposed belts for instance may well need some protection. As may electrical connections.

Once upon a time the only belt protected was the timing belt, and that is protected by its own shielding, I think. Electrical connectors should be well enough designed to cope with water splash.

Cooling and drag factors..... Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, I certainly would not pay the money for an OEM one.
