:?: I can see where and how to adjust the headlights up/down ( using the white gear assembly on the rear of the headlight unit),,, but can left/right adjustment be made?

(car is a 2004 1.4 Hdi 8v)

yes but i think youve confused what the white one does the white one is on the outer side of the lights and moves the inside of the light back n forth thus equalling in left/right movement there is also a metal hexagon shaped adjuster just below the wiring multi plug and that one operates up/down movement of the unit.

It's a dumb idea. The 'top' one (the 6mm metal) seems to adjust the beam position diagonally (up and to the left for example) and the white one adjusts up and down. The metal 6mm doesn't give much range at all and I might argue is virtually useless but give it a go you might have better luck than me. It seems to push the whole assembly in and out, rather than left or right.

Arfur, at what distance from the target is the headlight test done?

Home testing would be good at 0.6m
