Hello,

Just recently my dipped beam headlamps are not bright enough to light up the road. The bulbs give off light, but not enough. I haven't much clue about cars so not sure what the fix is for this kind of problem, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

Hello ap89

This may be a silly question but are your dip beam bulbs both working?
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Hi,

They both appear to be working as I can see light from either side, just not enough I guess.

Hi ap89, its a easy mistake to make to look at the headlights and see a light is on and assume its ok, but you should be seeing two bulbs lit up.

One is a small, and quite dim light and one is a very bright light that dazzles when you look directly at is from the front of the car.

The third lamp is on when main beam is activated, so ignore this for the moment.

You probably have 2 failed H7 dipped beam lamps (ebay link), which are the bright ones that are not main beam. They are tricky to change if you have not done it before.

This is a link to head light bulb changing on a Citroen C3 topic :)
