I noticed my headlamp adjustment dashboard light staying on for a while after I fob the central locking on from the remote
is that normal?
It glows an amber/orange colour for quite a while after locking the car via the fob.

I don't have a circuit diagram for the facelift C3 but there is no connection between the headlight leveling system and the cluster lights on a pre-facelift C3!
The system is "dumb". That is there is no ECU to communicate onto a BUS and flag a fault!? Again that's for the pre-facelift, things may have changed for the facelift version. I guess the symbol wouldn't be there if it wasn't an option?
I don't have a facelift manual so what is the warning lamp supposed to warn you of? Circuit failure?
I would disconnect both headlamp connectors and see if the fault goes away or gets worse. My best guess would be moisture or corrosion in one or more of the headlamps. However that does not explain why the lamp stays on after you lock the car?! What's the point of a warning lamp that illuminates after the driver has left the vehicle? Sounds like some sort of BUS induced fault or ECU problem but what ECU? Interesting.

I will have a look at those lamps as you suggest. From that link I gave I got the impression everybody was experiencing this but now you've got me thinking this is not normal.Ozvtr wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 10:27 pm I would disconnect both headlamp connectors and see if the fault goes away or gets worse. Arfur if you are there, do you have a circuit diagram for the headlight leveling on a facelift C3?
I am interested in the headlight leveling warning light and what ECU it's hooked up to.
