Grinding sound

Good day I ran over a stone with my citroen c3 and since then its making a grinding noice when pushing the gas pedal only when the car is moving, but when you release the gas pedal the noice is silent.what can be the problem??

I don't know how large this stone was, but for you to notice it, I would imagine it was of a significant size.
You don't say at what speed you were traveling at when you hit the stone, as that may also help work out what happened.
But, if you have a grinding sound, maybe metal to metal or stone to metal, you have something that would need the car lifting off the ground and inspecting from below.
That would require taking it to a mechanic who can do the inspection while it on the ramp. You should have it inspected promptly as although it may be only a minor problem, easily repaired, it equally could be something that can affect the brakes or the steering which would fail soon and cause a safety issue.
