As is oft the case in this life the mechanical hard bit turns out to be the easy bit.

Any case according to literature connecting a towbar electrics is provided for by the manufacurer in the form of a socket dedicated for the towbar. But where? :?

According to some very bad diagram https://www.pfjones.co.uk/Wiring_instru ... 050D1U.pdf page 70 shows what I think is a power pick up but where you get the data is a mystory to me.

I do wnat to use the fancy CAN bus as I've got the Ryder smart logic block and I definately do not want to intecept the loom.

I'm looking to power my towbar electrics Ryder smart logic block. The power is taken from the fusebox or a power distribution rail.

Fuse box's easy to find thanks to this forum.

Now I thought given the empty fuse spaces in the glove box provisions were made to plug in though a fuse into the 12V somehow.

Any ideas how to pick up 12V :D ?

How about picking up 12v from an existing fuse (not adding a new one) with a fuse tap from Amazon.

They look like this:

You will have to read the descriptions to find one that is the same physical size fuse as the one you already have and just tee off the 12v. If your electronic box doesn't take much power it will be fine, if it draws amps then you should run a better fused supply to the engine battery box or the battery itself. The cigarette lighter can also deliver a bit of power and this is spare if you don't use the cigarette lighter ;)

I was hoping Citroen would have provided as described in the towbar instructions however I cannot see these wonderful power extesions and spare fuse (see pics) holders though the spare fuse holders are there strangely enough.

So maybe the fuse tap might offer the way out particularly if I choose the cigarette fuse. ?Thanks for now :)
