Hi everyone,
I've hit a wall in trying to fix the front wipers which stopped working recently.
I removed the glove box F14 fuse (for the controls at the steering wheel) and a safety feature (I presume) kicked in where by the front wipers go on a continuous low frequency. Good news is that the motor works but if I pit the fuse back in that revert back to the problem state.
On the wiper controller the rear wiper and rear washer works / the radio volume and channel search works, it's only the front wiper controls not responding.
Any help would be welcome, many thanks.

If the motor works, then the BSM (engine fuse box) and BSI (cabin fuse box) side is probably good, it could be the control from the stalks.

You can test the electronic system with lexia system - information in this topic (here) but you can fault find by substitution if you get a matching COM2000 unit (the stalk control unit), try this link for a list of COM2000 units.

If you wanted to remove the COM2000 to identify it or swap it, there are some tips in this topic (here)

Thank you for the reply, the information you provided has been very useful. Haven't explored the diagnostic testing before so will look into this first.

Please have a second look on the fuses for the C3 for Your year:
F14 = washer pump
F17 (!) = wipers front

Thanks both, can't believe it but this process I found to do some sort of reset sorted the wipers out.

Hope this helps anyone with the same issue as I have seen quite a few people with a similar issue.
