Hi all!

I've been on this site a few times since I started driving and thought I'd finally join. Hello!

I recently passed my test in March and inhereted my Grandpa's 52 plate C3 with 18,000 miles - I love it! However, the past week, I've noticed a rattling sound from the front suspension and wonder what's going on. I am a complete and total novice with cars so have no idea what's causing it. It only happens at low speeds on bumpy roads and did not make the sound when I first started driving it. I have added a picture from the drivers front suspension for ease :)

You description sounds like the drop link. You can find them in this link: Drop Link/Stabiliser Link/Anti rollbar link on the C3 (here).

and looking at your picture that shows the drop link, the rubber cover looks very perished.
