The front n/s spring on my son's car was replaced earlier this week and I noticed the plastic sleeve that fits the bottom end of the coil was left off.
He's complaining he can hear a slight knocking noise when he goes over rough road surfaces, could this be the culprit?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

The part you describe doesn't appear on the suspension drawings. I don't think the missing sleeve at bottom would make a knocking sound. I would check the drop link for tightness and looseness. But also check bottom ball joints.

Springs should be changed on pairs only.

I'll check the bottom joints and drop link.I only had the n/s spring changed because the other side was done recently by the previous owner.Think he was watching the pennies.
Thanks for your replies.
