Bought car recently, and very pleased with it, but front passenger window does not go all the way down; about 3" (8cm) protruding. Used to have a Renault Scenic which had this as a safety feature on rear windows both sides.

Is this a safety feature on C3? If so, is there a workaround to allow window to go all the way down?

Or is this a fault?

Cheers.

Hi Deltech

Both the front windows should go all the way down but the rears don't.

Fitting the wrong speakers in the front doors stop the windows going all the way down.

C3driver52,
thanks for quick response. I expect it's the original speakers, as the lady I bought it off seemed a bit too old to be fitting BIG speakers lol.

But I will have a look. How many screws/where are the screws to remove door card? And are the TORX?

Just to note that the window stops "abruptly" as if it's programmed to stop there. It's not like when ye trap something in a CLOSING window and ye hear the motor straining. This one stops instantly when it goes down to a certain point.

Cheers,
Deltech.

These are some links to the door card removal: (fronts are similar to the rears).

If it hits something in the door like a speaker it will stop quite abruptly :)

I am not aware of any programming for the window down position.

You will get to see a bit more with the door card off thank for the links @C3CAR
