Hi Guy's..

I brought my mum a C3 just under 12 months and I've now put 2 wheel bearings on (Same side)..

Upon investigation I noticed that the wheel had a slight wobble (tried with a couple of separate wheels) so i'm thinking it could be the hub..

Now, I am currently breaking a 1996 peugeot 306 turbo and I'm thinking that they might be the same hub (I'm thinking of changing the complete bottom part of the leg..

Can someone please let me know if I'm thinking right about this?

Many thanks in advance

ASH

Production of the C3 started in 2002, so that is at least 6 years, more as the production of the 306 started in around 1994. Its unlikely the parts will match exactly.

I suggest you sell the 306 parts and put the money towards the C3 parts, either new or recovered from a C3 1.4 HDi of the same year and model as yours.

If its not the hub or wheel bearing, then the lower ball joint or tie rod ends may be worn, as you say, changing the whole leg can be less messing around at the end of the day.
