Also car failed mot with Offside front anti-roll bar linkage has excessive play in a ball joint (2.4.g.2) please can you tell me what parts I need to replace to get it through the mot please

Check the 'drop links' or stabiliser bar that links the antiroll bar to the suspension damper. These have ball joints that get loose and you just change the whole drop link. The part is here at ECP.
