The engine fan on my 2010 petrol C3 doesnt seem to be coming on. I have only done fairly short journeys recently but even then I would have thought it would come on.
Should it automatically come on when the A/C is switched on ? I havent had an overheating warning light come on so hopefully if it is defective I havent done any damage to the engine.
Are the C3's noted for fan problems ?

Engine fans rarely come on. I can't remember the last time this happened on any of my cars. The only time it is likely to come on is in traffic jams if you do not switch your engine off.crepitis wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 5:11 pm The engine fan on my 2010 petrol C3 doesnt seem to be coming on. Short answer...yes. If you start your car, let it idle, then turn on the aircon the fan should run.
Well, I wouldn't say any more or less than any other car.
There are two things that can fail in the fan circuit. The override relay and the speed controller. If the fan runs flat out all the time (even with the ignition off and the car has stopped for a long time) it's probably the override relay. If the fan doesn't run at all that probably the speed controller.
