Sorry i will try to make this short. Central locking worked via fob now stopped after ecu change, which had all the right number code and was fully recoded to bsi car runs perfect but now the fob on the keys for central locking is not work. New bats fitted all fobs tested and transmitting car central locking from dash lock button. The tect thinks its the com 2000 unit but all the controls are working fine. It just i can't lock to car from outside via fob. Can anyone help. Looking for a cheap way around this as Iam up to £300.00 already, anyone fitting a after market central lock kit and if so any wiring diagrams and advise that will help thank you for taking the time to read my dilemma. Best wishes Pete.

So the ECU swap wasn't completed properly and the car fully tested before being returned to you?

Was it just the engine ECU changed or did the BSI get changed?

The engine ECU won't affect remote locking but any messing with the BSI can disable remote locking quite easily.

Does the remote lock/unlock when it is very near the ignition barrel?

How did they come to this conclusion?

You can test remote lock/unlock commands from the COM2000 with the Lexia tool for the C3 (info here).

No, that can't be done on the C3

Diagnose why it doesn't work now, when it did before the 'ECU' swap (use lexia), then change the part that is faulty.

Hi Pete

It looks like the keys had been re-programmed and the software worked over when the engine ecu was swapped which is unusual for just the engine ecu..

The paperwork invoice seems to indicate the BSI was changed, the BSI is the glove box fuse box.

It says the 'Donor ECU was supplied by customer' , what did you actually supply?

Did the remote locking ever work after the engine ecu swap?

what was the reason for changing the engine ecu? or what ever it turns out to be.

I think you need to find out what was changed and why it was changed.
