Hi there, Today my driver's door handle decided to divorce itself from the internal machanism and was unable to open the door so had to open it from inside the car, goping through the passenger side.
Peeking through the apeture the handle went in later on, I noticed there was a white hook which with further study appeared to sit behind the hooked end of the black handle. Using a piece of wire I managed to pull the internal white hook upwards to enable me to re-enage the black handle by pushing it back in as I held up the white hook then released it and it appeared to be fixed. Joyfully and feeling chuffed with myself I went to open door and it remained locked. Tried using key in door lock, it seemed to be engaging and disengaging the lock as far as I could tell but now only way to open door is from inside through passenger side which is a real pain! Has anyone any ideas what I could try ? any answers would be gratefully appreciated.
