Please help replaced fuse for wing mirrors inside glove box. Car started for a second or two conked out and eco mode came up on dash. Have charged battery over night. Tried reseting system disconnecting battery reconnecting waiting 1 min lights on etc nothing. Aa man called he got it going by wiring to 32volt fuse the bit underneath which got the car going. However has stated that it is dangerous to drive with this bypass and disconnected it after car taken to garage. Anyone any ideas please

Hi Stevea4117u, the problem is not a pluriel specific one like a roof problem. I think the topic will get moved.

Eco Mode is the mode that times in after the ignition or accessories position has been selected to protect the battery by disconnecting various circuits after a pre-determined length of time. Starting the engine will clear the timer and clear ECO MODE.

That is helpful, because you know the car can start, so there is no major engine trouble. But it would be more helpful to know what he actually connected to the fuse as this could point you to where the fault is.

What is the 'bit underneath'? and what was the other end of the fuse connected to?

The 32volt fuse has a third connector directly underneath it ie 3 receivers however you can only fit in one way. It was the lower part that the AA man used with a short peace of wire. He was a little shy in telling me what he had done. So I don't know where exactly he wired it to and from. I've now been told that there is no feed to the ignition switch from the underbonnet fuse box. Is this part of the silly eco mode system because it started and ran with a wire bypass or should i buy a replacement fuse box??????????????????????
God I hate cars!!!!

Check all the fuses first, including the hidden maxi fuses before condemning the fuse box.

There are some posts showing the hidden maxi fuse box in this topic https://citroenc3owners.com/citroen-c3-t ... s-t36.html

If you can't follow the wire, you may need to find someone who is more knowledgeable about the subject to have a look at the work the AA man did to help diagnose the problem.
