So I managed to fix the problem with the passenger side window by buying a new switch. Now the drivers side window is stuck halfway. Happened an hour after the passenger window was fixed. The switch feels fine and the passenger window still works so can't be the fuse. The weird thing was the window was open and it went up all on its own and now won't work. Please help!!

Did you manage to disconnect the drives side switch while repairing the passenger side switch?

Yes I did. I swopped the switches to check if that was the problem. The drivers window worked fine once reconnected. It was only later this afternoon when it suddenly went up by itself. Later (after I posted) when I got to work I turned off the engine removed the key and the window went mental! Going up and down continuously by itself! I have now just removed both switches so I could leave my car!
