Oh dear. Its a sad looking door.00James00 wrote:No no, this is actually the old door on my car I'm yet to get new one fitted as waiting for another person to help put it on.
There are pins in the hinges that can wear causing door drop so your old door may have this problem and the new one will solve it.
If the car is bent, no number of door changes will help, if the door is bent or the hinges worn or misaligned then a new door should cure all that

Do you have new hinges with your new door? Or are you re-using the old hinges? If you are using the old, check them for play by lifting the door 'up' when its partially open. If you feel it move without moving the car then its got worn hinge pins, hinges or loose hinge screws.
These are the Citroen C3 hinge pins on ebay.
Front and rear, top and bottom and left and right use the same part number
It would be worth looking and testing as I have said above to see what bits need changing or just adjusting and which bits are worn so you can replace them when you swap the doors over.
As a side note, a bit of good car buying advice is to check the door, boot and bonnet shut lines (the gap between the panels) and avoid anything that doesn't look right because it may have been badly repaired after an accident.

Thank you c3car, I'll just replace them anyways. How many will I need for the drivers door? Is it just 2?

What would be really useful is knowing how to put sensor into mirror, for when I transfer it over. Does the mirror dismantle and if so which way? Also how would I plug the wires into connector.

Yes, it would. I have not had to disassemble the mirror but they look like they are in 2 parts. Can you remove the top section to get access to the space where the sensor sits?00James00 wrote:What would be really useful is knowing how to put sensor into mirror, for when I transfer it over. The sensor location from below
I would suggest you just bypass the Citroen plug and socket unless you can make up the plug and socket which will need some special crimp or solder tools. Go for the Scotch Lock system which only needs a pair of pliers to join the sensor wires to the existing loom wires.00James00 wrote:Also how would I plug the wires into connector.
This is a scotch lock and this is the scotch lock joining wires

Haynes (ebay) says you can tilt the glass to it maximum and then use a flat bladed screwdriver to release the 6 clips that hold the glass carrier to the motor unit in the mirror.C3CAR wrote:00James00 wrote:

The cover does come off the top of the mirror but it only reveals 2 screws that hold the motor unit in place. You will need to remove the top part and the 2 screws to see if the motor unit and glass comes out easily

Got new bolts and got an extra person to help.
Here a pic of new door and what's on it, would the best way to be to take hinges of old door and just stick new one on including hinges.
