Hi,we have a problem when we close the drivers door the central locking automatically locks itself, luckily we haven't left the keys (or our baby daughter) inside or we'd be stuffed. Is there a sequence to do on the auto lock button or is this a lock fault ? Help please Thanks

Hi shaun1970, I would say its a fault. There is no mention of this in the manual.

You could try removing the battery from the remote fob and see if the fault is still present. This will help you work out if its a fob or a car problem.

Don't think it's anything to do with the fob.even when the drivers door is open and I flick the catch over it sets the central locking

been on line trying to get help regards my c3 picasso auto locking when i leave. went on line and the word was to get a new door lock unit , 70 quid on line, 140 new plus fitting. Went on line and by accident removed the lock and re inserted and bingo it now works. My logic is that the sensitivity of the lock mechanism activated when i closed the door, when i re inserted the problem was fixed. Try it, theres a hole above the screws that hold the lock, un tighten the screw and remove lock. reinsert and tighten the screw. Google change lock

I have just bought a 2016 1.6HDI Blue 100 Platinum and that does the same thing. |I think it must be a safety feature

I had a 2016 1.6HDi Blue 100 Platinum, and it didn't do this. What it does is that if you unlock the car and do not open a door, the car relocks, but it didn't automatically lock the doors when you get out and close the doors.

The 2002 model does exactly this too.
