hi , im new here and i have tried searching this before asking but cant find anything relevant , we have just bought a c3 1.4hdi 55 plate with 55k on the the clock , owned it now for about a month

its developed a fault with the doors locking randomly and not being able to get out of the car
this can happen at any time just driving along all the doors will lock or can be as soon as you start it up its just random times , some days wont do it at all , other days it will do it constantly , when the doors lock you can unlock it with the key fob from inside the car but the internal door handle still dont open the doors its got to the point where you have to open the window to use the external door handle

anyone come across this before any help advice is much appreciated

Check your key fob, dismatle it and make sure the rubber cover isnt pressing against the micro switch, my daughters Rav4 had this problem with the same symptoms. Also check wiring inside the doors especially if you (or a previous owner) have fitted other speakers, could be a pinched wire. Lastly body control module these have been known to play up

Great advice gtv6capri.

There are some pictures of what's inside the fob, in this topic which may help.
