I have scraped the paint on the door mirror of my C3. Can someone please tell me how do I remove the painted back part of the mirror to get it painted?

It looks like the cover (4) is clipped onto the lower half (21). No fixings are mentioned so this usually means clips.
Can you get it unclipped without removing the glass mirror?
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

Thanks for the pics. Very useful.
The back doesn't seem to want to come off though. I have tried gently prising it off. Hence my question really was do I have to take the glass out ?.... I am concerned it may break the glass in the process.

Did you manage to get the cover off in the end?
