Hi, Newbie to the forum but running a '04, 156k 1.4hdi, complete with flappy paddles!!
my, sorry, drivers door mechanism fails. When opened from the inside, it wont then shut.....
My question, does anyone know how to unhook the cable from the Outside handle, inside the door.
I have managed the removal of the rest, but dont wont to force anything.
My dealer quoted 180 for a part/fit new one..... Thanks

Hi there littlegrey, welcome to the forum.
I have not actually removed a C3 handle yet, but,
Looks like you need to slide the white lever (the one with the spring around it) forward. Sliding it forward should allow the locking clip to engage with the groove. This will then disengage the operating lever from the handle. You can now pull the handle to allow you to remove it (if you need to)
With the handle removed and the lock cover popped off will reveal some pop rivets on the outside of the car. Drilling these out will release the rest of the mechanism.
I hope this helps to explain. I don't currently have a photo to show, sorry.
If you manage to take a few photos, it would be great to help explain to others with the same problem.

Thanks for the reply C3driver.....
Regret I had to let my garage do the work (@ £360 for two doors!), pressure to get it fixed.
When it was returned I noticed that the rivets had been renewed.
Anyway that turned out the first of the proverbial '3 things'.............a week after return, the alternator failed at 5 in the morning on the way to work
and when the car had come back from that fix, the windscreen got a crack (at least that was only 75 quid excess!)

There are now some photos and information about the Citroen C3 door locks here. The front and rear, driver and passenger door solenoids, door handles (both interior and exterior handles) and the actual key operated locks (if fitted) as very similar to each other. The tips can help with buzzing doors, the door spring back and not closing and broken door handles.
