My door handle got pulled out much like in this post:
questions-about-a-citroen-c3-not-relate ... -t158.html
however following the advise of Arfur Dent in this post:
tips-for-any-citroen-c3-f8/c3-door-hand ... -t161.html
I was able to reengage the handle successfully and now the door handle operates the door.

There is however one outstanding problem best described with a borrowed picture:

As can be seen the spring has come unwound for me too!

I really do not want to remove all the assembly rivets and all, so I wondered where does the long 'tail' of that spring usually sit?
An exploded diagram would help or just to know whether it sits up or down against something.

This is a picture from the previous post on how it normally looks but I cannot see where the long 'tail' goes

Hello

I'm guessing that if the place for the long ta of the spring is not obvious, it may not be there?

Could some of the plastics have broken causing the spring to loose tension because it losts it hold at one end?

It's much easier to take the lock carrier out to work on it and make an inspection. There just isn't enough access to do it on the car.

this is true especially as it is so confined, however I really do not want to remove the rivets.

At the moment the handle works but needs a bit of help to retract the last few millimeters.
