A plea for help . My car recently shed its alternator drive belt and, as you might expect, the battery was flattened.
A new belt and tensioner was fitted and the car drives ok.
Unfortunately, the dashboard display is flashing, I cant access the menu and the radio will not work.
I guess this must be related to the discharged battery but any clue as to how I might proceed to rectify?
Thanks in advance

Hi

This doesn't sound good. If the radio is dead, have you checked the fuse for the radio?

A blown radio fuse could explain a non working radio and the reason the buttons don't work on the display.

This link is for the 2011 C3 fuse box layout

Thanks for reply. The radio isn't dead though. It just won't find any stations. In addition the display is flashing and I can't access the menu to reset date time

It sound like the radio is faulty.

It would be worth checking the fuse in the BSI because some models have a fuse for the aerial amplifier but, seeing as you can't tune the radio and can't access the display menu it doesn't look good for the radio.

Thanks for the reply and sorry about the delay in responding. My internet router failed and I have just today procured a replacement ...never rains but it pours!
Ive had this to a local garage who cant understand why the radio wont switch on as the radio display obviously has power (date time flashing)
I have an appointment next week with an auto electrician who seems to think he has seen this before with Citroens. If he finds a solution I will post on here in case anyone else encounters same problem.
Take Care

Hi Cambon,
Did you find out the problem in the end? My car has radio but display is flashing and unable to change this. I have had a new alternator put on recently if that makes any difference?
