Hi, weve just bought a Dash Cam for our C3 and before I start looking at how to fit it I wondered if anyone had fitted one before and any tips or suggestions on where to route the cables and where to pick up a source of power?
Steve.

Hi
Yes, I have one on an early C3
The camera is up behind the rear view mirror (I don't need to see its screen), The cable goes into the headlining and down the drivers A pillar plastics (there are some existing cables in there). The the cable goes behind the dashboard and into the centre console where the 12v to 5v converter attaches to a fused spur from the cigarette lighter socket.
It sounds a lot more complicated than it actually was

Many thanks C3driver, I shall have to have a ferret around to see if I can get access to the centre consul, I was kind of expecting the cable to find its way into the engine compartment and the fuse box, I hadn't thought that it could connect inside the car.
