To get from this:
C3 battery covers removed

to this:

Firstly fit the rear cover. Its fits inside of the battery tray and is located by some lugs on the side of the cover that sit in the cut-outs of the battery tray.

The lugs

The lugs just sit in the cut outs in the battery cover, nothing clever or particularly secure. The lugs are visible on the outside of the battery tray when fitted.

Next drop the front cover into place, just like the rear cover. The locating lugs hang over the outside of the battery tray.
There is a small clip at the front that engages as the cover is lowered into position, you may not even notice it.

Then align the slot in the air intake cover with the protrusion on the air intake pipe and slide it down into position.

Then lock the air intake cover in position by rotating the locking tag.
