Hi I got a small problem, like a week ago while I was exiting my driveway, as soon as I accelerated my clutch pedal suddenly lost all "pressure" it wasn't hard to press anymore after that and starting vibrating when I pressed it. Now anytime, in any gear when I press gas pedal little too much the clutch starts slipping like I'm in neutral although I'm in gear, so I can drive a car just have to accelerate really slowly so clutch won't slip. Here is the thing, I kind of don't think it's related to the actual clutch of pressure plate. I was hoping I could check and maybe replace some clutch pedal linkage which is much cheaper than clutch and pressure plate. I was hoping that someone could point me or tell me what should I check before buying anything. My thinking was that the clutch pedal wouldn't started to feel like this all of a sudden as it started, because clutch degrades gradually so I really hope that is rather something to do with a pedal. Any help is appreciated and I will happily answer any question clarifying my issue.

I would say your clutch has failed.

OK, so the pressure plate may not be completely worn out, particularly at only 60K, but there are other mechanical parts that fail in a clutch.

Now, it is never worth just replacing the one broken part in a clutch system. Most of the cost is due to the labour charges in getting to the parts, so it makes perfect financial sense to change evrey mechanical part in the clutch bell housing while it is off the car. It just makes no sense to have to open it up a second time after another 1000's of miles to replace a bit that wasn't changed while it was apart the first time.

Just because it looks like there is some friction material left on the plate, it doesn't mean that it will give as much service as the new parts you are fitting.
