Hi all. I have a 2004 LHD 1.4HDi Pluriel and when looking for clutch kits, there seem to be different diameters/number of teeth. How do I know which one to order without taking the old one out first?
VIN number is VF7HB8HXB28053397
Thanks.
Clutch change, how to find the right parts?

Hi
You can supply the VIN to the vendor to ensure you get the right parts.
The clutch kit is dependent on the gearbox you have.

Generally speaking, the difference between clutch plates is to do with the engine capacity and the gearbox. With respect to the engine capacity PSA can also make different power outputs for some of the same engine capacities. For example, there are two different power versions for the 1.4 petrol and diesel engines!!! So you cant just say it's 1.4 diesel engine (no disrespect intended).
So, from your VIN I can see you have a 8HX (DV4TD) 50 kW (68 PS) engine. Well, that's a start.
There is also 4 speed and 5 speed gearboxes! The sensodrive gearbox is the same as the MA5 (manual 5 speed) gearbox (for the sake of this argument).
But it looks like the 8HX engine was only fitted with a 5 speed manual or sensodrive gearbox. That makes it easier.
After having a look at my references it looks like you need a 2052T3 kit. That's PSA's number so you will need to see if the kit manufacturer cross references to that. On the surface, the manufacturers that I found say that's a 190-200mm diameter (most said 200mm) with 18T spline.
Otherwise you should be able to find the clutch kit knowing the engine code, gearbox, year and RPO number. Or as C3car says, supply your VIN to the vendor.
