I have a Citroen C3 02 plate with 97000 miles on the clock, I have a problem with the electrics. When you take the key out of the ignition, after about 6 minutes the dipped light come on, and they'll stay on until the battery runs out. When the lights come on you can open the doors and they will go off again. When the doors are left open they come on dipped again but the following dash lights come on;
- Side light
- Fuel light
- Warning light
- Anti skid light
- Clock display
After you shut the doors again the light go out, then like before will eventually come back on?
If I lock the car with the key fob the light come on but I can't open it with it again I have to do it manually. When I open the doors manually the dash lights come on.
I have tried the Comm 2000 unit and the ECU but it has made no difference, I believe it might have something to do with the alarm immobiliser, but I'm not sure.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated, I just bought the Haynes manual for it but I'm not very confident with the electrical side of cars.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Alexb77
Those COM2000 units do go bad after a while and give bad information to the BSI (fuse box in the cabin area). To diagnose the signals from a COM2000 and the signals received by the BSI you will need the lexia clone tool.
There is a topic about lexia, here and, if you need it, some information about removing the COM2000, here.
Yes, it sounds like an electrical fault and its going to take a bit of tracking down
When you say this, are you saying you have tried a new COM2000 and (I assume you mean BSI, rather than ECU)?Alexb77 wrote:I have tried the Comm 2000 unit and the ECU but it has made no difference,
Haynes will help a little bit, but it doesn't show any of the computer things that control all of the items you mentioned.Alexb77 wrote:Any help on this would be highly appreciated, I just bought the Haynes manual for it but I'm not very confident with the electrical side of cars.
