Hi I have a 55 plate automatic C3 and the child lock button is activated and will not switch off therefore all passenger doors are lock from inside and out and will not open.

Drivers door is only accessible by key in the door leaving the boot unlocked.

Any suggestions as to why?? Or how to fix?

Hi Willlowes3

It could be simple or it could get very complicated.

The first step, without any diagnostic equipment (by this I mean a working lexia install) would be to change the child lock switch (here) and hope its just down to a faulty switch.

If that doesn't work, things get complicated.

There is a child lock relay hidden behind the passenger dashboard

Citroen C3 Child Lock Relay Location
Citroen C3 Child Lock Relay Location

Which would need testing/replacing

and if the relay is OK then it is the BSI that is faulty (here)

and the fix for this is here - Citroen C3 Central Locking BSI Repair topic, but on a scale of 1 being easy and 10 being for experts, this is up in the 8/9 level.
