This might sound trivial, but I've just bought my second C3 and it has a "long" 2-button "flip out" key, which I absolutely hate.

My other C3 has a "short" non-flip out key, which I much prefer.

Is there any way to make the key off the older car work the newer car?

Alternatively, what is my cheapest option for sourcing a "short" non-flip out key for my newer car?

EDIT:~ I intend to scrap the older car due to MOT failure, so happy to scavenge parts for the newer one.

Hi,

I did the opposite to you. I have an older car with the fixed blade and wanted (and now have) the flip out version.

The way I did this was to find, a, not very common, aftermarket fixed to flip new upgrade fob.

You can't fit old remote boards to standard flip out cases. So I guess the same applies in reverse, but Citroen may have supplied the second key as a fixed key and this could be the way forward.

Send me a PM with the VIN for the new car and I will see what I can find about it's keys :)
