Hi. My gears are really stiff and I want to change the gearbox oil on my C3 Pluriel 1.4 2007. I think I've found the drainage point (see picture) but where do I fill it back up again? Thanks

Refill with the Total Transmission Gear 8 oil.29 is the fill and level, while 30 is the drain point.

That's brilliant. Thankyou. Do you just fill it up until it starts coming out of the fill point? I've heard that's about 2litres, does that sound about right? I couldn't have asked for a better diagram!

Yes, fill to the top hole, it is that simpleRamblingrob wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 5:24 pm That's brilliant. Thankyou. Do you just fill it up until it starts coming out of the fill point? I've heard that's about 2litres, does that sound about right? I couldn't have asked for a better diagram!![]()

2 L sounds about right, but it always good to have some extra on hand for the odd spillage

Thanks so much. The diagram doesn't exactly match...would you say that this is the inlet? I don't suppose you know what tool I need? The outlet looks like an Allen key. I have to assume the inlet is probably the same. Sorry to ask all these questions. I would get under and have a closer look right now but I'm laid up with flu! Thanks again

If you don't have the filling plug, yours may be 'sealed for life'.

This topic has some tips on refilling the sealed for life gearboxes.
It may be worth sending me a PM with your VIN so we can be sure exactly which gearbox you have fitted.

Its the BVM MA5 / N gearbox, so its the MA.
Its a sealed for life if there is no fill hole.
Refill via the breather with the exact quantity from a fully drained gearbox.
Topping up is not possible.

Thanks so much. I'll have a look tomorrow and find the fill hole
