Hi, new to this forum but I’ve a problem with her indoors C3. This becomes a problem for me as I have to drive the thing while she cruises round in my nice comfy discovery!!!
The central locking has gone a bit iffy. Worked fine Saturday. Went to go out on Sunday and it would only unlock the boot. Can’t open any of the doors from the inside and drivers door only with the key.
I’ve just tried the reset thingumy. Opened bonnet, wound down drivers window, switched everything off and took keys out. Waited 10 mins then disconnected the battery. Waited 30 secs and reconnected battery. Then waited a minute and switched the ignition on and the lights. Then waited a minute and started the engine.
But it hasn’t fixed the problem??
Any help gratefully received as I hate driving this car (I know they’re loved on here lol) and I want my car back!
Central locking won’t work!

Hi
The problem here sounds like a bad BSI

The reason for this is, if it is a BSI reset or a bad fob button you won't be getting the boot unlocked.
Please confirm that the boot locks and unlocks with the remote when the doors don't. I need to know for sure that the boot is different to the doors.

Confirmed.
The boot unlocks with the fob but not the doors. Just get 3 weak flashes of the indicator.
That and the doors are deadlocked (I pressed the dash button to lock them and ended up having to reach out the window and unlock with the keys)

I think this is the classic relay failure in the BSI board. It's a common problem and not an easy or cheap fix. Probably not going to be a cost effective repair.
But some have managed to frankenstein a working BSI to a faulty BSI and sort the central locking problem. That topic is here - Citroen C3 Central Locking BSI Repair.
But if it not that then it is a wiring/plug problem with the BSI (the plug info is in that topic above) or something gone wrong with the child lock relay. All of which are not easy tasks to fix.

I’ve read the article. Very helpful, but it can’t find the page that it links to for bsi removal

Any how to guide on removing the BSI so I can make this work?
