Hi,
I've just bought a second hand 2003 C3 HDI SX.
Once the doors wouldn't lock until I made a few attempts and this week it took a few goes to open.
I know I can get a new battery (standard battery from any jeweller yes?) but can anyone please advise me how to lock ther car using only the key should the fob fail? I can only lock the drivers door with the key at the moment.
When the fob wouldn't open the car up I could open the drivers door and simply use the dash button to open the others so that was OK. It's locking it I'm more concerned about.
Thanks in advance!

The 2003 Citroen C3 two button remote is likely to take a CR2016 3V (available here)
To lock the doors when the central locking is not working you first need to remove the black plastic stickers that cover the manual switches. The stickers are black and round and found on the door, on the door shut near the lock.
With the stickers removed you can put the tip of the key into the manual switch and give it a quarter of a turn, close the door and its now locked.
I have not found a way to lock the boot using this method though.
