good morning.
i own a 08 c3 1.4 mk1 facelift. its recently developed a problem with the doors not locking. my atustic daughter was ratteling on the internal handle during a meltdown, child lock on, i opened it from the outside to try and calm her down but ever since both handles were operated at once, the car thinks the rear right passanger door is constantly open and will refuse to lock the car. when using the fob u hear the latching followed imeditly by the unlatching sound, no flash of the indecators, and the car remains unlocked. whilst driving , passing 6mph the car trys to lock, displays the door open warning msg and beeps, i manualy hold the lock buton on the center console for 10 seconds everytime i start the car as it resets the auto locking to on each time. using the key in the manual keyway on the drivers door only locks that door and none of the other doors. (only a year old fob, brought and reprogramed by citroen, battery replaced yesterday to fully rule that out)
after talking to a few garages over the phone, they believe its the solinoid gone, that i can beleive after doing my own resecurch but they all quoting between £3-400 to fix this issue but all of them have atleast a week before they could get the car in (b4 i even try to raise the funds to get it repaired)
my question is, as i live in a city thats unfortunlty renound for its higher rate of car crime. is there a way to manualy lock, or bypass that doors lock (even if that door becomes temparoly unusable) so i can feel a little more sound at night leaving it on the street.
I have tried removing the plastic covers and turning the black switch to lock the doors and after looking over the forum, even tried to do the twist then handle out to close the door. i have checked the fuses. the glove compartment fuse rail only has 1 red in slot 5 (l-r) i beleve for the cigar lighter, but all the other termanals look like they have never been used. the under bonet fuse box i pulled every single fuse checked and used some electrical contact cleaner to blast out all the contacts incase any moisture has got in the box before replaceing them. is there any thing else i could be doing to check b4 admiting defete and getting the doors lock swapped out.
unfortunly im not the most mechanicly minded person and have my own personal limitations of movement but any and all help/advice would be greatly apprecated
central locking issue (not fob related)

Hi.
You can change the solenoid yourself. There are several posts about getting access to and also removing the solenoid packs in the doors.

You also need to look up the fuse boxes on the forum for you model because you seem to be confused about the single rail fuses.

and thank you for this, honistly i was under the impression that the rail was the only internal fuse box, i admit, mostly because i only done a quick google to locate the fuse box but now knowing that there is infact an internal one hidden under the glove box on a drop down i shall deffently be checking that this morningC3CAR wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 11:18 am You also need to look up the fuse boxes on the forum for you model because you seem to be confused about the single rail fuses.
