Hi everyone,
Just to let you all know that I have managed to fix my central locking. The problem was that all locks were deadlocked, the child lock light stayed on and the only door that opened was the drivers door using the key. I managed to get the doors open by putting 12V down the the C/L plug on the BSI. Only problem was that the doors were permanently open. I will put some info on the tips page in a day or so. How I fixed it was to get a second hand BSI from ebay with the same part number and carefully pull the two parts apart and put the part with the relays etc onto my original PCB which meant that I didn't have to change any setting on the car. hey presto the doors now work and no other problems with the car.
I put the information on how I got the BSI parts swapped over in the 'Tips' section here
Thank you to all the experts on here with their advice. Jeff
