Thanks to this post I now know the cause and solution to buzzing citroen door locks , I have read the step by step guide and viewed the very helpful pictures. The cable to the door handle is described as "very difficult" to remove and re attach without removing the handle from the outside , has anyone managed to do this without removing the door handle , when the lock is unscrewed and dropped it does appear there is quite a bit of room to negotiate the cable loose. Ive got quite a bit of experience of car maintenance and am not afraid of losing a bit of skin from my knuckles , Thanks in advance, 2002 CITROEN C3

Why not follow the guide? It works

What is the issue of removing the handle that prevents you from following the guide?

It's not a problem , I have a disability that makes this a bit tricky but I'll sort it , I took the old lock out yesterday and just for the hell of it opened it up to have a look, as mentioned it's easier just to buy a new lock , all was looking good inside however clips and springs start flying out all over the place and it's like a complicated jigsaw puzzle , I made sure the new lock had arrived first because if you break the lock and then try to put it back on then either your door won't close or once closed it won't open . Thanks for advice .
