Front are inside the black plastic strut protector and the Rears are clipped on to the rear body shell.

You can find ECP on their official eBay store which is useful to compare prices ;)

Thought that was them mot tester must have blind, as he gave me an advisory for one missing rear bump stop when both are in place.

I know the fronts are fine, as i replaced the shocks, springs and brake lines a few months back.

I'm slowly going through the whole car, as being 2003 means most parts are original and due for replacement.

What's the rear springs and shocks like for replacing, got mine coming up so may as well find out what it's like.
I'll be buying a proper horseshoe compressor for this, as the impact gun will make it a sight easier.

I just want to be clear that the image of the missing bump stop above is actually missing its bump stop ;)

I don't have a picture of the bump stop in place to hand, but this is the bump stop that should be attached to where the arrow points

Often in white, but now found in a black material too. Pick them up cheap enough on ebay.

Much easier than the fronts, the springs are easy as they are only under a slight compression with the rear wheel off the ground and the dampers are only difficult because the lower nut and bolt can be seized. Having an impact gun should make light work of the lower fixing. You are not going to need any super spring compressor for the rears, unlike the fronts.

Oh right that's good to know so no bearings or bushes for the springs i take it?

Yeah seems i'm missing both bump stops, the list seems never ending.

Oh and either my tracking is now out, or my tyres need balancing.

Got two goodyear efficientgrip performance being fitted saturday, but the tracking will have to wait a couple weeks which is a shame as it wobbles like a bugger when i hit 45 odd.
But me wallets taking a hammering, couple weeks should be fine i'd have thought.

The rear spring can be removed without removing the rear damper as they are separate parts, unlike the front units.

There are 2 bushes, one top and one bottom which are part of the strut damper and are part of the replacement unit. Nice and simple.

They should balance the wheels when fitting new tyres so your wobble should disappear.

Wobble at speed is usually a balancing problem. Uneven wear is usually a tracking problem.

As so just like pugs of old with the torsion bar setup, nice and simple eh, famous last words.
Had a feeling balancing was the problem, i might have switched what side the tyres were on and the have both gone on one side a fair bit, so i'll have the tracking done asap.

Thanks for all the help, been a hectic few days figuring all this out.
