Hi -

about a year ago my front spring snapped on the driver side. I had both front springs replaced.

Then this morning I went to drive my car, and it moved slowly forwards with difficulty, with a scraping, squealing, crunchy noise coming from the front left.

The car was visibly lower on one side and I cant see in properly to see the spring.

It didn't behave like the last spring problem- I could actually drive the car when that happened, at least to a garage.

This time, it seems lower, with the wheel closer to the arch. What could have happened?

I also saw this: https://www.warrantyguide.co.uk/vehicle- ... -c3-recall

The citroen garage say (despite my car being one of the Vins affected) that there are no product recalls on my vehicle.

Anyone know about this?

What should I do?
Many thanks

Sam

Could be another broken spring, but could be some other bit of broken suspension. You will have to raise the car to get a good look.

The 'spring cups mod', it didn't appear on very early cars (2002/2003) but was soon being fitted in the factory and a recall was issued to fit the cups to cars that didn't have them.

You can see the Cup in this picture (and see its caught the broken spring)
