I have a 2010 1.4 diesel vtr+. The brakes work fine normally, but when I have reversed the car at any point, I find that when I resume travelling forward, the next time I use the brakes the pedal goes almost to the floor. I am currently getting around this by lightly pumping the pedal as I drive away after reversing, this brings the pressure back, but it is a worrying problem.

Hello bigheki
I would advise against driving the car any further and either get it towed or get a mobile mechanic to it.
The problem is the brakes don't function as they should and although you have found a solution there is no guarantee that whatever is loose won't just fall off next time you try to use the brakes.
This could lead to the brakes not functioning when you need them.

Very good advice C3CAR. The potential consequences of driving this car on the road could be horrific.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
