Unfortunately there seems to be poor production control with these knock-off LEXIA units.
I have one sitting in front of me right now that will only poll the engine and gearbox ECU's and one that works perfectly.

If you are sure your ABS, radio and steering are working fine then it's the LEXIA, sorry.

you may need to be running a later version of lexia. as the newer cars are made, lexia software is updated to keep in step with the car.

you don't need the very latest version to work on older cars, but a very early version of lexia may not communicate with later models.

Later cars (about 2010 on I think) require a scanner with the Unified Diagnostic Service chip on board to work properly. This chip is on the "full chip" version of the LEXIA but is not on the earlier versions.

Its an old car so that shouldnt be an issue.

One other thing that I noticed today is that in 4th gear at around 50km/h the cruise control works pretty good. But as soon as I run it in 5th gear and higher speeds it disengages after 5-10 seconds.
