Just bought C3 2008 cachet - seems riddled with electrical problems.
Info/dash fault warning re. lights are intermittent.
Now I notice the Fan only comes on when set to full power.
Anyone know what this could be? Could they all be linked? Is there an easy check/fix I could perform for the fan?
Thanks

Hi
It is the blower resistor pack, change it and see if that helps.
You can find the blower resistor pack location in the search, along with lots of examples of what they may look like and how to access them.
It's a very common problem and something you really should check before buying a used car.

What a mess. Looks like rust? Water ingress. Can I /should I just replace the loom connector?? Thanks
Yes, I would recommend changing the resistor pack AND the loom.
It is possible to buy that loom/connector repair part along with the resistor pack.
Can you also take a picture of the resistor pack removed to show the other side.
Thanks - I can't find the packs - I can see the resistor and fuse, but not the loom ? Can you share a link? thanksC3driver52 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 2:01 pmWhat a mess. Looks like rust? Water ingress. Can I /should I just replace the loom connector?? Thanks

Trade it in/sell it at auction.
It is not worth spending more money on it as you may never fix all the problems without a huge amount of money for wiring looms and even some expensive ECUs that haven't shown up as a failure yet..
If water is getting in, it will be wet

Best to test in the car wash or at least a very rainy day.
This is the right kind, but can't find a loom anywhere.C3driver52 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:27 pmThe picture may help me to point you in the right direction of the parts you need.C3Driver52 wrote:Can you also take a picture of the resistor pack removed to show the other side.
