Not my motor this time. Belongs to a friends wife.

C3 II - 1.4 Petrol with single (manual) air-con.

Blower works fine on settings 1, 2, 3. Sometimes on setting 4 it blows fuse F11 (40 amp) on fuse board in engine bay.

Measured the running current of the fan, appx 5, 8, 12 amps for settings 1, 2, 3, then jumps to 30 amps on 4.

Connected to Lexia and nothing shows relating to Air-con or heating.

He's going to check air intake filter first, then remove the fan and check for obstructions and free running.

If nothing turns up from the above, I'm thinking fan control module, does anyone else have any thoughts?
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

I agree, it seems the logical part causing the problem.

You can pick up the fan control pack for a Citroen C3 on eBay.
